Iron Man 3 and its Incredible Technology

Iron Man 3 is telling us about a very smart guy named Tony Stark ( Robert Downey Jr ) who invented an amazing armor and he put some incredible future technology in it. He’s living with his lover named Pepper ( Gwyneth Paltrow ). The story begins when a luxurious mansion they’re living at got crashed and ruined by massive bomb attack which was launched by a group who call themselves as The Mandarin. Ben Kingsley is starring as the captain of The Mandarin.

You definitely will be spoiled by this movie and your jaw will drop because this movie is filled with awesome special effects, great performance and a geek message which is saying: technology drives and inspires us, enables us to save the world. How we control our tech ultimately determines our humanity. And now I’m going to list down what technology they use for this movie.

Tony got a clean nuclear power source that protects his heart from the shrapnel which is embedded in his chest. This is one of technology they use which is very helpful for Tony to survive. And there’s this repulsor ray which is embedded on his palms and they are used for stabilization and maneuvering whilst Tony is flying by using the jets which is built in to Iron Man’s boots. In real life, repulsor ray’s existence is kinda dangerous for human being unless we are the one who invents this stuff. It doesn’t mean we will be 100% safe, though.

And what is Jarvis? You guys must have known this. J.A.R.V.I.S stands for ‘Just A Rather Very Intelligent System’ and Jarvis is a multifunctional software program capable of managing the local environment of Tony’s mansion interior. Doesn’t it sound cool? This is one of interaction between human and technology. Jarvis can do many things by listening to Tony’s command. For example, Tony can do things easily without telling him what to do because Jarvis is programmed to do his commands even though Tony doesn’t say it out. Or when Tony has something in mind, Jarvis knows it because Iron Man suit is loaded with advanced wearable computers, which is controlled via Jarvis and the holographic heads up display in the helmet. Whenever Tony needs help or gets attacked by his enemy Jarvis will protect him right away. Jarvis is such a loyal system. Like when Tony’s mansion got attacked by the Mandarin, Jarvis protected his master right away and when Tony was drown in the sea, Jarvis knew it very well what should he do to save Tony and flew all the way to the north even though Tony didn’t command him to do so. That scene was amazing!

We should admit that Jarvis is so incredible, but if we had this kind of thing, we definitely would be lazy and would ask Jarvis to do everything for us and our life would become unproductive. So if Jarvis were true, I can tell that Jarvis has both positive and negative impacts for our life.  But Jarvis would be the best when it comes to safety.

Something that can be learnt from this movie is that there are many incredible technologies which is very helpful for our life, but don’t hang yourself onto those technologies because you have to do your works yourself to gain your experiences of life and make yourself to be more useful for the others.
